Easy-AOP: Single-channel Hyperspectral Measurement System for Apparent Optical Properties of Water

Easy-AOP is a portable, easy-to-operate, and multi-functional single-channel hyperspectral measurement system for the apparent optical properties of water. The device is compatible with three measurements of AOP, including the above-water measurements, in-water measurements, and skylight-blocked approach. Easy-AOP can acquire remote sensing reflectance without a need for absolute radiometric calibration. Meanwhile, it is qualified to research the water optical properties in the areas of water bottoms or coral reefs. The equipped cone-shaped diaphragm effectively blocks the stray light, while the equipped small transmission standard replaces the conventional reflectance standard to strengthen the device’s portability and easy-to-use specialty as well as reduce the common errors and human errors of operating the reflectance standards.

Advantages:

  • Portable: ultra-light carbon fiber operating rod with a compact structure design
  • Easy-to-operate: equipped with smart software and hardware to guide operations
  • Multifunctional: compatible with three AOP measurements, including:
  • above-water measurements
  • in-water measurements
  • skylight-blocked approach
  • High accurate:
  • the cone-shaped diaphragm is equipped to block stray lights.
  • transmission standard is equipped to avoid common errors and human errors from using reflectance standard
